That yo-yo was the YoYoFactory Protostar.To put it simply, the Northstar is a Protostar with a little more junk in the trunk. At three whole grams heavier, the Northstar boasts a more powerful spin than its older brother. The only other major difference between the two is side caps have been flattened out in the Northstar. It has a distinct feeling to it: although it's still definitely a plastic yo-yo, it still displays the same abilities as a full metal yo-yo. Its weight gives you the chance to practice a slower, more deliberate style, but it's certainly not just just for professionals. Northstar gives everyone a chance to feel what it's like to throw a top-shelf yo-yo.
