In the late â??20s, Donald F. Duncan saw a child playing with a Flores yo-yo and realized it had the potential to be a nationwide sensation. Instead of having the string tied to the axle, as was traditional with bandalores, the Flores yo-yoâ??s string looped around the axle, which let the toy spin at the end of the string.
It is marked L.S.M. STERLING COVER STEEL BODY. The weight is 67 grams. T he string might not be the original. The work is in the Art Nouveau motif and very much resembles the yo-yos made by Gorham in the 1930s.

Th is is a lot of 26 Yo Yos in slightly used condition. Including is Christopher Cook's historical reference & value guide from 1920 to 1970 that is in excellent condition. All the yo yos are in very good condition except for the Duncan butterfly that has both ends lifted (see photo #9).
